"Bridging Souls...with Music!," a benefit cabaret for the Actors' Fund of America, was held at Coogan's Restaurant on June 5th as part of the 4th Annual Uptown Arts Stroll.
Among those who appeared at the event were

The Rocky Horror Show, Ragtime, The Life) & Friends,
Tituss Burgess (
Jersey Boys, Good Vibrations), Linzey Jones, Joey Cord, Joyce Stovall, Greta Herron, Abbie Holcombe, and Thos Shipley. The band was led by Musical Director Gary Haas on bass; with Wally Gator on drums and Jared Kashkin on keyboards.
The Manhattan Times/Harlem Arts Alliance/Uptown Arts Stroll 2006 presented two 2006 Awards of Excellence--one to Joseph P. Benincasa, Executive Director of the Actors' Fund of America for his sixteen years of leadership, and to Joey Cord for his fifty year career as a singer/recording artist and lead singer with the sixties group, The Cufflinks, and as a pioneer in public access television.The awards were presented by Mike Fitelson, Editor – The Manhattan Times; Voza Rivers, Chairman – Harlem Arts Alliance, and Stovall, the evening's host/presenter.
