On Tuesday, March 27th, Rosie's Theater Kids held an event called "Passing It On," where the Kids performed a show which they learned in tandem with mega mentors like Audra McDonald, BD Wong, Brandon Victor Dixon, Dana Moore, and Derick K Grant, among others. The show was held at Alvin Ailey Citigroup Theater @ 7pm, and the event honored Tom Viola, Executive Director of Broadway Cares / Equity Fights Aids.

Immediately following the show, the newly formed RTK Junior Board held an exclusive after-party for the junior contingent. Different from the RTK Advisory Board, The RTK Junior Board was formed at the end of 2010, with a mission to engage with the 21-40 year old demographic in New York City, through fundraising, advocacy, volunteer work, and social events benefiting Rosie's Theater Kids.

The RTK Junior Board after-party was held at a luxurious penthouse triplex on 46th & 8th with breathtaking views of the city, also known as the home of Tony Award-winning producer, Paul Boskind. Guests were treated to hors d'oeuvres and desserts by Pinch, and open bar specialty cocktails courtesy of Given Liqueur and Iceberg Vodka.

Impromptu performances took place around the grand piano at the penthouse, thanks to RTK's Musical Director (and pianist), Steven Jamail, including a few numbers by Katie Rose Clarke (formerly Glinda in WICKED on Broadway) who sang a rendition of "Fairytale" by Sara Bareilles and "Mr. President" from VOTE! A New Musical, and Anna Maria Perez de Tagle (currently in GODSPELL on Broadway, and also of Hannah Montana & the Camp Rock films), who sang "Day by Day" from Godspell.

The RTKids Junior Board includes Elizabeth Clinard (chair), Faisal Al-Juburi, Matt Butler, Alyson Campbell, Nathaniel Casey, Amanda Goetz, and Matthew Naclerio.

Rosie's Theater Kids is an arts education organization dedicated to enriching the lives of children through the arts. We serve students who otherwise would not have the opportunity to experience theater, positively changing the trajectory of their lives by providing comprehensive classes in music, dance, and drama; thoughtful mentoring; and structured academic guidance. Our goal is to inspire excellence, motivate learning, uplift the human spirit, build confidence and spark a lifelong appreciation of the arts.
