Photo Flash: Andy Karl, Bianca Marroquin and More Teach at R.Evolucion Latina's DARE TO GO BEYOND Camp

Broadway performers including Tony-award nominee Andy Karl (Jersey Boys, Rocky), Bianca Marroquin (Chicago), Courtney Reed (Aladdin), Vince Oddo, Luis Salgado and Michelle Aravena (Rocky), among others, have participated this week in the 7th Annual "Dare to Go Beyond" Children Performing Arts Camp, hosted by R.Evolucion Latina. Over 250 campers ages 7-17 and more than 25 volunteer teaching artists are taking part in the week-long educational program sponsored by the Herman Goldman Foundation. Classes include acting, voice, dance, stage combat, body percussion, puppetry, spoken word, yoga and writing, among others.

Special guests artists kick off classes each morning with an inspirational talk and Q&A, including Marroquín (Monday), Reed (Tuesday), Karl (Thursday), and Toño Vilchez (ADÚ Proyecto Universal Dance Company; Friday, August 1st).

The 7th Annual "Dare to Go Beyond" Children's Performing Arts Camp runs from Monday, July 28th through tomorrow, Friday, August 1st at Pearl Studios, in Manhattan. The only free tuition Broadway summer camp in New York, it is possible through the generosity of the Herman Goldman Foundation, with additional support by Broadway Cares, Harper Collins, Trader Joe's NYC Grow and Starlight Deli.

The Camp is one of six successful arts-in-education programs run by R.Evolucion Latina, a not-for-profit organization affiliated with Broadway Cares, founded in 2008 by Luis Salgado, Gabriela Garcia (Chicago) and Michael Balderrama (In The Heights, Ghost).
