On Monday night, February 21st 2005, BroadwayWorld.com presented the SOLD-OUT Benefit Concert "Unexpected Songs: The Lesser Known Tunes of Andrew Lloyd Webber" celebrating some of the less often sung tunes of one of theatre's most prolific composers.
Benefiting Broadway Cares / Equity Fights AIDS, the concert took place at Joe's Pub at the Public Theatre, followed by an after-party at Fez under Time Cafe.
Produced by Robert Diamond, Devised by Eddie Varley, Directed by Jamie McGonnigal, with Music Direction by Mark Hartman, and Additional Arrangements by Mark Hartman and Brian J. Nash, the concert featured twenty stars, backed up by a five-piece band singing a variety of songs from shows including Whistle Down the Wind, Woman in White, Jesus Christ Superstar, By Jeeves and more...
