Celebrating its 10th year, Gingold Theatrical Group's PROJECT SHAW, under the leadership of Founding Artistic Director David Staller, presented its 100th production, Shaw's 1904 one-act comedy How He Lied to Her Husband, on January 19 at 7pm, at Symphony Space's Leonard Nimoy Thalia Theatre (2895 Broadway at 95th St.).

Directed by David Staller, How He Lied to Her Husband is Shaw's wicked parody of his own play, the classic Candida. In this play, the fashionable Aurora Bompas (Tyne Daly) has allowed the young poet Alastair Fitzfassenden (Tony Yazbeck) to write poems to her, without anticipating that her boxing fanatic husband Teddy (Daniel Davis) might find them. Which he does.

The evening began with Robert Osborne of TCM interviewing Tyne Daly, discussing her history with Shaw.
In honor of the 100th Project Shaw production, GTG hosted a post-performance party with the cast.
Now celebrating its 10th year, Gingold Theatrical Group's Project Shaw made history in December 2009 as the first company ever to present performances of every one of Shaw's 65 plays (including full-length works, one-acts and sketches). Up next will be Shaw's first play, the irreverent comedy, Widowers' Houses, on Monday February 23rd. Tickets now on sale.
