On April 4, 2014, The New York Pops continued its 31st season at Carnegie Hall with Lights, Camera, Action: A Night in Hollywood, featuring the orchestra and Judith Clurman's Essential Voices USA, to travel through Hollywood history with the music that has transformed film's most iconic scenes into unforgettable moments of passion, fear, love, and hope for generations. The program included a celebration of the 75th Anniversary of The Wizard of Oz, a tribute to the movie music of Marvin Hamlisch, selections from Ben-Hur by Miklós Rózsa, and selections from The Mission by Ennio Morricone.

The New York Pops 2013-2014 season will culminate on Monday, April 28, 2014 at 7:00PM at Carnegie Hall with its 31st Birthday Gala honoring composer, lyricist, and arranger Marc Shaiman; director, lyricist, and writerScott Wittman; and corporate honoree Paul J. Massey, Jr. of Massey Knakal Realty Services.
