On Friday, August 17, The After Party, a free weekly-concert at the Laurie Beechman Theatre, hosted by Brandon Cutrell and Lisa Asher,  welcomed special-guest Telly Leung (Rent), with Ray Fellman at piano.

"Telly Leung currently appears on Broadway in the role of Steve in Rent.  His other Broadway, national and regional credits include Flower Drum Song, Pacific Overtures, the Chicago sit-down company of Wicked, Sweeney Todd and Godspell," state press notes, "A native of Brooklyn, Leung is also a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University and has continued to branch out to other avenues of the performing arts.  His debut EP, 'Getaway,' is available from the website CDBaby.com.  He also made a memorable contribution to the CD 'Wall to Wall Sondheim' (SymphonySpace.com) with his rendition of 'A Bowler Hat.'"

Christine Ebersole (Grey Gardens) was an active participant for an early portion of the evening, helping Cutrell choose a winner from the audience. Hairspray's Michelle Dowdy and Paul Vogt also made an appearance, as well as Kristy Cates (Wicked), David Hyland and Marcus Paul James (Rent).

The After Party is hosted each Friday night at 10:30PM at The Laurie Beechman Theatre located at the West Bank Café, 407 West 42nd Street, NY. Admission is free.  For more details call 212-695-6909.
