"First Readings: A Benefit for Studio Dante," featuring a number of film and TV stars, took place on March 26th at the New York Historical Society (170 Central Park West on 77th St.).
The benefit honored actor Jon Voigt (Coming Home, Midnight Cowboy, Ali), and will feature the talents of Steve Buscemi, Jon Bon Jovi, Jamie-Lynn Sigler, and Aidan Quinn, among others. The stars were featured in readings of two short plays - one by Mike Dowling and the other by Adam Szymkowicz. The Voigt tribute was hosted by Professor Richard Brown (AMC's "Movies 101").
Michael Imperioli, the Emmy-winning "Sopranos" actor who stars in Studio Dante's current production Chicken, introduced the plays. Imperioli, with wife Victoria, is the co-artistic director of Studio Dante. In addition, Steve Schirripa, also of "The Sopranos," hosted a live auction. Architectural Digest presented.
