The 38th Songwriters Hall Of Fame Ceremony was held at the Marriott Marquis in New York City on June 7, 2007.
Don Black, known for his pop hits as well as for his collaborations with composer Andrew Lloyd Webber (on Song and Dance, Sunset Boulevard and Aspects of Love), was among the honorees. Also inducted were Jackson Brown, Irving Burgie, Michael Masser, Bobby Weinstein and the late Teddy Randazzo.
John Legend received the Hal David Starlight Award, Dolly Parton was honored with the Johnny Mercer Award and Don Kirshner received the Abe Olman Publisher Award.
