The Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice and Human Rights Bridge Dedication Gala was held at Pier Sixty at Chelsea Piers in New York City on November 19, 2008. It was a celebration of the Life and Legacy of Robert F. Kennedy for the 40th Anniversary of the RFK Center.
Special Guests in attendance were Governor David A. Paterson, and Governor Jon S. Corzine, with Christiane Amanpour as the Master Of Ceremonies.
Performances by Andrea Bocelli, and Jennifer Hudson and the presentation Of The RFK Ripple Of Hope Award To Afsaneh Beschloss and Clive Davis
Presentation Of The Robert F. Kennedy Award For Moral Courage To Archbishop Desmond Tutu.
