Ars Nova continued its acclaimed "Uncharted" series with Benj Pasek and Justin Paul on Monday, July 17 at Ars Nova (511 West 54th Street). The duo played two sold-out performances at 8 PM and 10 PM.
Having been named the next generation of Broadway talent, the incredible songwriting "team of Benj Pasek and Justin Paul explode onto the Ars Nova stage in an evening of their own unique brand of musical theater infused with the soul of gospel and the energy of pop. Complete with some of Broadway's hottest performers including Shoshana Bean (Wicked), Eden Espinosa (Brooklyn), Jesse Nager (Mary Poppins), Todd Buonopane (Spelling Bee) and a few other surprise guests, Pasek and Paul will prove why people are calling them two of the most refreshing voices in contemporary musical theater," state press notes.
In May of 2006, "BECOME: The Music of Pasek and Paul" was presented at Joe's Pub to sold-out crowds and featured a host of Broadway performers. Pasek and Paul are also making their television writing debut composing music for John Tartaglia's Disney Channel program, "Johnny and the Sprites," and are contributing music to the upcoming White Noise, premiering at NYMF later this fall.
