Photo Coverage: 'On Stage With Spring Awakening' at 92Street Y/Tribeca

SPRING AWAKENING, Broadway's Tony Award-winning musical held a special panel discussion and performance at the all-new 92Street Y/Tribeca (200 Hudson Street). "On Stage With Spring Awakening" took place Monday, November 10th at 7:30PM, BroadwayWorld.com's camera caught the informative and entertaining event.
On the panel will be show producer Tom Hulce,Damian Bazadona, President of Situation Marketing, and MIKE ARAUZ, Strategist from the firm Undercurrent. The panel will be moderated by DAVID COTE (Time Out New York and Spring Awakening: In The Flesh - Simon & Schuster), Panelists will discuss the show and speaking to today's young audience, both on Broadway and on the road. A Q&A will follow the panel. In addition, cast members Emma Hunton, Gerard Canonico, and Matt Doylewill perform select numbers from the show. The show recently celebrated its 750th performance, led byHunter Parrish as Melchior, Alexandra Socha as Wendla andGerard Canonico as Moritz. The "next generation" of Spring Awakening - cast was chosen from across the country; from Texas to New Hampshire, Washington tBroadway World.com - Broadway's Premier Web Resourceo Georgia and all points in between. With ages that range from mid-late teens through early twenties, the new group is similarly in age to the original cast when they began the journey at the Atlantic.While the show will conclude its Broadway run on January 18th, 2009, national tours and a new production in London continue.
Spring Awakening features the music of Duncan Sheik and book and lyrics by Steven Sater. Choreography is by Bill T. Jones and it is directed by Michael Mayer.
