Photo Coverage: NY Premiere of HBO Documentary 'The Blacklist: Vol 1'

Richard Parsons, Chairman, Time Warner;  Timothy Greenfield-Sanders director and portrait photographer; Elvis Mitchell, award-winning journalist and producer; Sheila Nevins, president, HBO Documentary Films, special guests including  Rev. Al Sharpton, Martha Stewart, Graydon Carter, Gayle King,  Bill T. Jones, Faye Wattleton, Alan Cumming and Phylicia Rashad amongst many others all attended the New York premiere of the new HBO documentary "THE BLACKLIST: VOL.1," directed by Timothy Greenfield-Sanders with interviews by Elvis Mitchell. The premiere took place at the Time Warner Center at Columbus Circle on Tuesday August 12th 2008. The HBO broadcast premiere will take place on August 25th at 9 PM et/pt.

Some of today's most fascinating and influential African Americans share their stories and insights into the struggles, triumphs and joys of black life in the U.S. The film is a collaboration between celebrated portrait photographer filmmaker Timothy Greenfield-Sanders, who directs, and Elvis Mitchell, who interviews subjects: Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Sean Combs, Mahlon Duckett, Thelma Golden, Lou Gossett Jr., Bill T. Jones, Vernon Jordan, Marc Morial, Toni Morrison, Suzan-Lori Parks, Richard Parsons, Susan Rice, Chris Rock, Al Sharpton, Lorna Simpson, Slash, Dawn Stanley, Faye Wattleton, Keenen Ivory-Wayans, Serena Williams and Zane.
