Photo Coverage: NIGHT MUSIC's Hunter Ryan Herdlicka Debuts at Feinstein's

Hunter Ryan Herdlicka, star of Stephen Sondheim's critically acclaimed Broadway musical revival, A Little Night Music, made his solo concert debut, "I Happen to Like New York," at NYC's premiere night club, Feinstein's at Loews Regency on Sunday, June 27th. BroadwayWorld was on hand to capture the concert.
Selections were devoted to the music and lyrics of Stephen Sondheim, Jerry Herman, Cy Coleman and Comden & Green and included such classics as "No One is Alone," "Neverland" and "Penny In My Pocket." Mary Mitchell-Campbell musical directed.
Herdlicka, a performer since he was eight years old, has appeared in concerts and regional productions across the country. Just nine short days after graduating Carnegie Mellon in May 2009, he arrived in New York City and had his very first audition. After his callback, attended by both director Trevor Nunn and Stephen Sondheim, he was told he landed the coveted role of Henrik Egerman in the theatrical masterpiece, A Little Night Music.
He has also performed with the Utah Shakespearean Festival and has had six leading roles with the West Virginia Public Theater. From Shakespeare to Brecht to Sondheim, his versatility has caught the eye of audiences and critics alike.
His concert work includes recently starring in BC/EFA's Broadway Backwards 5 at Lincoln Center's Vivian Beaumont Theater alongside the likes of Lea Salonga and Douglas Sills among others. He has also performed at Joe's Pub, Birdland, as well as many other NYC clubs.
