Just last night, Manhattan Theatre Club honored two-time Tony Award winner, Emmy Award winner, and longtime MTC collaborator and board member Christine Baranski, as part of its Fall Benefit at 583 Park Avenue (63rd Street and Park Avenue).
The evening featured appearances by Baranski friends and colleagues Walter Bobbie (On Your Toes at Encores!), Alan Cumming ("The Good Wife"), Cherry Jones, Nathan Lane (Lips Together, Teeth Apart at MTC), Julianna Margulies ("The Good Wife"), Rob Marshall (Into The Woods, Chicago), Paul Rudnick (Regrets Only at MTC), Meryl Streep (Into the Woods, Mamma Mia!), Max von Essen (Mame at the Kennedy Center), and more.
Baranski has been associated with Manhattan Theatre Club since she first performed there in Sally and Marsha in 1982. Since then, she has starred in four additional MTC plays (Regrets Only; The Loman Family Picnic; Lips Together, Teeth Apart; and It's Only a Play) and recently celebrated her 30th anniversary on MTC's Board of Directors.
One of the entertainment industry's most honored actresses, Baranski has achieved acclaim in every medium in which she has performed. She is an Emmy Award, two-time Tony Award, Drama Desk Award, Obie Award, Screen Actors Guild Award, and American Comedy Award winner.
