In honor of the Tonys, Macy's Herald Square hosted the "Sing for Your Tickets contest," a Broadway singing talent competition, on Friday, May 20. The winning participant received a Tony VIP package, including transportation, dinner, red carpet-worthy fashions and tickets to the 59th Annual Tony Award® on Sunday, June 5 at Radio City Music Hall.

The event also featured performances from Beauty and The Beast, All Shook Up and 2005 Tony Award Nominee Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Entrants were able to sing one of eight selected songs from the Tony songbook featuring standards from various Tony Award-winning musicals. They include:" "Some Enchanted Evening"" from South Pacific, "the title songs from The Sound of Music, Hello, Dolly!, and Cabaret, ""Lullaby of Broadway"" from 42nd Street, ""What I Did for Love"" from A Chorus Line, ""All I Ask of You"" from The Phantom of the Opera, "and "Sunrise, Sunset"" from Fiddler on the Roof.

The 2005 Tony Awards are presented by the League of American Theatres and Producers and the American Theatre Wing. The Awards, which start at 8 PM, will be hosted by Hugh Jackman and broadcast on CBS, live from Radio City Music Hall.
