Tony Award -winner Linda Lavin kicked-off the fall season of "Broadway at Birdland" with dual-concerts on September 3 & 4 at 7PM. The weekly series, presented by Jim Caruso's Cast Party and TheaterMania.com features top Broadway stars and theater songwriters performing at the legendary Birdland.
"Lavin recalled her roots in the theatre (originating Sondheim's 'The Boy From...' in The Mad Show) and her early cabaret trials and tribulations in some less-than-glamorous boites. Her concert also included songs ranging from Gershwin to Maltby & Shire; Dave Frishberg to Trisha Yearwood," stated press notes.
Birdland is located at 315 West 44th Street, NYC. For reservations call Birdland at 212-581-3080 or visit www.BirdlandJazz.com.
