A portion of the proceeds from the March 30, evening performance of La Cage at the Marquis benefited The Trevor Project, an organization dedicated to suicide prevention among gay and questioning teens. A reception was held afterwards at Tony's Di Napoli Time Square hosted by the show's stars Gary Beach, Gavin Creel and Michael Benjamin Washington. At the reception, a portrait of composer Jerry Herman was unveilved for the restaurant's Broadway Wall of Fame.

The Trevor Project is a nonprofit endeavor established to promote acceptance for gay and questioning teenagers, and to aid in suicide prevention among that group. Founded in 1998, the organization runs The Trevor Helpline (866-4-U-TREVOR) the only national toll-free 24-hour, 365 day-a-year confidential suicide hotline for gay & questioning youth. Since 1998, they have responded to more than 30,000 callers. For more information, visit www.TheTrevorProject.org.
