Broadway Unlocked, founded by actor/writer/producer Jessica Ryan, exists to tear down the barricade between Broadway and the rest of the world. Their team of theatre and technology nerds are committed to finding and developing new ways to create a global, interactive theatre community - and bring fans around the world face to face with Broadway in the times between their New York City trips.
This year, Broadway Unlocked is partnering with Google, BC/EFA and SongSpace for the Give Back Concert, an annual Global Google Hangout and livestreamed All Start Benefit Concert. Proceeds benefit the Crime Victims Treatment Center, and contributors to the IndieGoGo crowdfunding campaign that runs alongside the concert get a login to join the Hangout and Livestream. The crowdfunding campaign runs from October 3 - November 3 on IndieGoGo and seeks to raise $10,000 to cover the costs of the concert. All funds raised beyond that will be donated to the CVTC, allowing the center to continue to provide services free of charge.
