Country music and soap opera fans joined Club members last night for an intimate acoustic evening of original country songs at the iconic Friars Club.
Producer
Mark Rozzano, former manager of the Friars most recent Abbott,
Jerry Lewis, presented the evening of country music in the style of a "writer's round" made famous at Nashville's popular
Bluebird Cafe.
The program starred six-time Emmy nominee
Jacob Young, a familiar face to TV audiences for his roles on "The Bold and The Beautiful," "All My Children ," and "General Hospital" (for which he won the Daytime Emmy Award.) Jacob made his Broadway debut as Lumiere in "Disney's Beauty and the Beast." He has recently performed his original music in concerts at The Tropicana Showroom in Las Vegas, with his hit singles which are available on all the digital music platforms.
Last night's trio also starred Emmy nominee
Scott Reeves, known to fans of "General Hospital," "The Young and the Restless," and ABC's "Nashville." Scott's duo Blue County has been nominated for several CMA awards. He's also a member of the popular rock group
Port Chuck with his co-stars from "General Hospital."
Jacob and Scott were joined onstage by Scott's talented daughter
Emily Reeves who astounded a capacity audience in the
Friars Club Milton Berle Room.
This Nashville-style evening of original music with the back stories of what inspired the writing is playing east coast venues prior to an international tour.
