The cast and creative team of In The Heights, the new Broadway-bound musical, held a press meet and greet on Monday, January 14 at the 42nd Street Studios.  In The Heights will begin previews on Thursday, February 14, 2008, and open Sunday, March 9, 2008, at Broadway's Richard Rodgers Theatre (226 West 46th Street). 

The musical will star Andréa Burns, Janet Dacal, Robin De Jesús, Carlos Gomez, Mandy Gonzalez, Christopher Jackson, Priscilla Lopez, Olga Merediz, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Karen Olivo and Seth Stewart leading a cast of 27 that features Tony Chiroldes, Rosie Lani Fiedelman, Joshua Henry, Afra Hines, Nina Lafarga, Doreen Montalvo, Javier Muñoz, Krysta Rodriguez, Eliseo Roman, Luis Salgado, Shaun Taylor-Corbett, Rickey Tripp, Michael Balderrama, Blanca Camacho, Rogelio Douglas Jr. and Stephanie Klemons.

With music and lyrics by ASCAP's 2007 Richard Rodgers New Horizons Award winner Lin-Manuel Miranda, book by Quiara Alegría Hudes and conceived by Lin-Manuel Miranda, In The Heights is directed by Joseph A. Callaway Award-winner Thomas Kail and choreographed by Outer Critics' Circle, Drama Desk, Lucille Lortel and Joseph A. Callaway Award-winner Andy Blankenbuehler.  Alex Lacamoire is music director and music arrangements are by Alex Lacamoire and Bill Sherman.  

In The Heights features a scenic design by Anna Louizos, costumes by Paul Tazewell, lighting by Howell Binkley and sound by ACME Sound Partners.  On Broadway, In The Heights is produced by Kevin McCollum, Jeffrey Seller, Jill Furman, Sander Jacobs, Robyn Goodman/Walt Grossman, Peter Fine and Sonny Everett/Mike Skipper with associate producers Ruth Hendel and Harold Newman.

"In The Heights is a quintessential New York musical about a vibrant and tight-knit community at the top of the island of Manhattan. The music pulses with the hopes and dreams of three generations as they struggle to forge an identity in a neighborhood on the brink of transition," explain press notes.

Tickets for In The Heights range from $21.50 to $111.50, and can be purchased at the Richard Rodgers Box Office or at www.ticketmaster.com.

The playing schedule for In The Heights is as follows:  Tuesday - Saturday at 8pm, Sunday at 7pm, with matinees Saturday and Sunday at 2pm.  Added performances on Monday March 17 at 8pm, and matinees Wednesday, March 5, March 12, March19, and March 26 all at 2pm.  No performances on Sunday, March 9 at 2pm, Wednesday, March 12 at 8pm, Sunday, March 23 at 2pm and 7pm, and Sunday, March 30 at 7pm.
