On March 30th, a portrait of The Pajama Game star Harry Connick Jr. was unveiled at Tony's DiNapoli Times Square. Co-stars Kelli O'Hara, Michael McKean and Megan Lawrence were among the friends to join him at the event, which was hosted by 106.7 litefm radio personality Valerie Smaldone.
The Roundabout Theatre Company's revival of The Pajama Game opened on Thursday, February 23rd. The show, which began previews on Thursday, January 19th at the American Airlines Theatre (227 West 42nd Street), will play a 20-week limited engagement through June 11th. The Pajama Game features two new songs in its classic Richard Adler-Jerry Ross score, and the original book by George Abbott and Richard Bissell was revised by Peter Ackerman. The Pajama Game is set during union disputes at the Sleep-Tite Pajama Factory, and centers around a love story between two people representing opposing sides of the dispute.
