The Hamptons Shakespeare Festival (HSF) is excited to announce it is working with Spitfire Theatre Company to present "Food of Love", an original production combining Shakespeare's most romantic scenes and songs.
Since 1996, the Hamptons Shakespeare Festival, a nonprofit organization, has presented world-class cultural and educational programs on eastern Long Island. Its free outdoor productions have been seen by tens of thousands of individuals and families, receiving consistent praise from local and national critics, and audiences alike. HSF has employed hundreds of actors, musicians, technicians, administrators, and others. Its educational programs have touched the lives of thousands of children from Montauk to Manhattan. "Food of Love" is created and directed by Abigail Anderson, an English director who has worked at Shakespeare's Globe in London and the Royal Shakespeare Company. Anderson has been described by The Oxford Times as "one of the most exciting and eclectic young directors in the UK." The cast of four talented actors includes former HSF Education Director Amy Prosser along with Khris Lewin, Adam Mastrelli, and Laura Rikard.
