Members of the Broadway community, including some of those on the release picked up their copies of the new Hair Actors' Fund of America Benefit Studio Recording, and so did we!

The September 20, 2004 concert of Hair for the Actors' Fund of America was musical directed by Seth Rudetsky, and featured an all-star cast including Shoshana Bean, Laura Benanti, Kathy Brier, Charles Busch, Liz Callaway, Paul Castree, Chuck Cooper, Gavin Creel, Harris Doran, Darius de Haas, Lea Delaria, Raul Esparza, Harvey Fierstein, Ana Gasteyer, Annie Golden, Jennifer Hudson, Euan Morton, Julia Murney, Orfeh, Adam Pascal, Billy Porter, Jai Rodriguez, Sherie Rene Scott, Chistopher Sieber, Shayna Steele, John Tartaglia, Toxic Audio, Lilias White, and many other Broadway stars.

The CD was recorded on October 1 at the Hit Factory, and is a single disc release, which is now available for purchase from record producer Ghostlight Records' web site. Proceeds from the CD will benefit the Actors' Fund of America.

Hair features music by Galt MacDermot, with Book & Lyrics by Gerome Ragni and James Rado. The show first opened on Broadway on April 29, 1968.
