Gavin Creel (Hair, Mary Poppins) recently came to Toronto to perform a selection of songs from his brand new EP "Quiet" as well as songs from his first release "Goodtimenation." The sold-out show at The Factory Theatre was a hit with fans of Gavin's, who came out in full force to support the Broadway star in his solo endeavours. It was also an evening to help promote awareness for Broadway Impact, an organization that Gavin is actively involved. Broadway Impact is a group of actors, directors, stage managers, fans, producers (essentially anyone involved in Broadway) who are united by the belief that anyone who wants to be able to get married should be able to get married.
This was a unique event to be at because Canada has legalized gay marriage, and it was wonderful to see the outpouring of support given to Gavin and his efforts. Nick Adams and many of the cast members of the pre-Broadway run of Priscilla Queen of the Desert came out to support their friend as well.
The new EP sees him reunited with Toronto-native Robbie Roth. BWW was on hand to capture the event and brings you exclusive photos from the performance.
