On Monday, April 8, 2013, Broadway's Chicago welcomed Tony Award nominee Adam Pascal in the role of slick criminal lawyer Billy Flynn and comedienne and radio host Christine Pedi made her Chicago debut as Matron "Mama" Morton. We couldn't miss their first curtain call and a quick trip backstage!
Adam Pascalmade his Broadway debut originating the role of Roger in Jonathan Larson's Rent, a role which he also played in the Off-Broadway premiere and later in London, and for which he received a 1996 Tony Award nomination.
He also originated the role of Radames in Broadway's Aida by Elton John and Tim Rice. His other Broadway credits include the final Emcee in the Sam Mendes/Rob Marshall production of Cabaret and the final Huey in Memphis. Pascal's other career highlights include co-producing the Off-Broadway hit Fully Committed, performing alongside Queen's Brian May and starring as Freddy Trumper in Chess alongside Josh Groban and Idina Menzel.
Chicago also stars Amy Spanger as Roxie Hart, Amra-Faye Wright as Velma Kelly, Raymond Bokhour as Amos Hart and R. Lowe as Mary Sunshine.
