Martin Short and members of the cast of the recent Broadway hit Fame Becomes Me appeared at the Times Square Virgin Megastore on Tuesday, April 10th to perform songs and celebrate the release of their new album.
Ghostlight Records, a division of Sh-K-Boom Records, released the original cast recording of Martin Short: Fame Becomes Me on April 10th. Conceived by Martin Short and Scott Wittman, with book by Martin Short & Daniel Goldfarb (Modern Orthodox), additional material by Alan Zweibel, music by Marc Shaiman, and lyrics by Scott Wittman & Marc Shaiman (Hairspray), this musical was directed by Scott Wittman and had its Broadway premiere at Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre in August 2006. The CD is produced by Grammy- and Tony Award-winner and five time Oscar nominee Marc Shaiman and Executive Produced by Sh-K-Boom / Ghostlight Records President Kurt Deutsch.

The Original Cast Recording features Brooks Ashmanskas, Mary Birdsong, Capathia Jenkins and Nicole Parker, each playing a wide variety of different characters, along with Martin Short.
