The Explore Islands Philippines expo invites visitors to discover, experience, and invest in the Philippines.
New York--New York's iconic Grand Central Terminal provides the backdrop to showcase the Philippines' 7,641 islands as a destination for vacation, trade, and investment. The Explore Islands Philippines expo runs now through Saturday, May 12.
Last May 9, the expo kicked off with a ribbon cutting ceremony graced by Her Royal Highness Princess Katarina of Yugoslavia and Serbia. She was joined by JS Productions Inc.'s (event organizers) Edwin Josue and Jerry Sibal; Philippine Ambassador to the United Nations Teodoro Locsin Jr.; President of the Philippine Tourism Promotions Board Cesar Montano; Deputy Secretary for Economic Development and Special Advisor to the Governor of New York State Lindsey Boylan, and emcee Nina Pineda, award-winning journalist, ABC-TV "Eyewitness News."
Day One featured a panel on "Why Invest in the Philippines" with Teodoro Locsin Jr. and Nancy Vailakis, Business Development Director of Augentius, moderated by Ramy Inocencio of Bloomberg Television and Radio News.
The Explore Islands Philippines expo aims to promote ties between the Philippines and the world.
The expo will also celebrate arts and culture from May 10 to 11, showcasing artists and artisans from the United States and the Philippines.
Entrance to the expo is free from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day.
