Award-winning singer and actor Euan Morton is performing a new show on four Sunday evenings at The Metropolitan Room (34 West 22 Street): April 15 and 22, and May 6 and 13 (all shows at 9:30 p.m.).

This engagement is Morton's most intimate to date, as it marks the first time he is performing in concert without fronting his rock band.  Morton mixes old favorites with new songs, accompanied by Bryan Reeder on piano.  The show also involves visual artists, as well as special guest vocalists.

Euan Morton, a native of Scotland, received an Olivier Award nomination for originating the role of Boy George in the musical Taboo on the London stage. He moved to New York in 2003 to reprise the role on Broadway, earning Tony, Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle and Drama League Award nominations, as well as a Theatre World Award for Outstanding Broadway Debut.  He is currently appearing in The Roundabout Theatre Company's production of Howard Katz starring Alfred Molina.  Other New York stage appearances include Measure For Pleasure at The Public Theater (2006 Obie Award); as well as the title roles in Tony Kushner's adaptation of Brundibár at the New Victory Theatre (also Berkeley Rep), The Who's Tommy at the Bay Street Theatre, and Caligula for the inaugural season of the New York Musical Theatre Festival (2004 NYMF Award for Outstanding Individual Performance). His critically acclaimed debut solo CD, "NewClear," was released in March 2003 and is currently available on iTunes.  He has appeared in concert in New York City at Town Hall, The Zipper, Joe's Pub and Birdland, as well as at the Signature Theatre in Arlington, VA.

Tickets are $20 (with a 2-drink minimum).  Reservations can be made by calling 212-206-0440.  For more information, visit www.officiallyeuanmorton.com or www.metropolitanroom.com.
