On February 14th, the new cast of Doubt--including Eileen Atkins, Ron Eldard and Jena Malone, as well as original cast member Adriane Lenox--celebrated their run in the show at Etcerera/Etcetera (on 44th St. between 8th and 9th Avenues).
Last month, Eldard, Atkins and Malone respectively replaced Brian F. O'Byrne, Cherry Jones and Heather Goldenhersh as Father Flynn, Sister Aloysius and Sister James; they officially open in the show today. Directed by Doug Hughes, Doubt was the most honored play of the 2004-2005 season,
receiving the 2005 Tony Award for Best Play and the Pulitzer Prize for
Drama, among a number of others. "Set against the backdrop of a Bronx Catholic school in 1964, Doubt
is the story of a strong-minded woman faced with a difficult decision.
Should she voice concerns about one of her male colleagues…even if
she's not entirely certain of the truth?," state press notes. Tickets
are available by calling Telecharge.com at 212: 239-6200 or at the
Walter Kerr Theatre box office (219 West 48th Street). For more information, visit www.DoubtOnBroadway.com.
