This fall, Red Bull Theater returns with "Revelation Readings," an Obie Award-Winning reading series exploring new and classic plays of heightened language. Leading off was a benefit reading of Paula Vogel's Desdemona, featuring Jessica Hecht, performed at the Playwrights Horizons Mainstage at 7PM on October 1.
A Benefit Reading of Desdemona, a Play about a Handkerchief by Pulitzer Prize-winner Paula Vogel, featured Jessica Hecht, Jennifer Ikeda and Mamie Gummer, directed by Red Bull Theater Artistic Director Jesse Berger, with special guest Paula Vogel. "Othello, as seen from the perspective of the women in the play, a satirical and provocatively alternative view of Shakespeare's tragedy," explained press notes.
All other readings will be at the Peter Jay Sharp Theater at 7PM. Tickets are on sale now at www.ticketcentral.com or at 212-279-4200. Both theaters are at 416 West 42nd Street between 9th & 10th Avenues.
