Celebrities Danny Glover, Delroy Lindo, Eriq La Salle, Sinbad and Boris Kodjoe together with Robert Greenblatt, President of NBC, caught Streetcar Named Desire stars and producer Stephen Byrd backstage last night at the Broadhurst Theater. The show is headed into its final performances; it is set to close on Sunday, July 22.
A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE is set against the sexy backdrop of 1950’s New Orleans’ gritty French Quarter and tells the tale of a former school teacher and socialite, forced to move in with her sister and animalistic brother-in-law, who quickly gets a gritty life lesson in the steamy underbelly of the Big Easy. The production stars Blair Underwood in the iconic role of Stanley, Nicole Ari Parker as Blanche, Daphne Rubin-Vega as Stella, and Wood Harris as Mitch. The cast also includes Rosa Arredondo, Amelia Campbell, Carmen DeLavallade, Danielle Lee Greaves, J. Mallory-McCree, Aaron Clifton Moten, Morocco Omari, Jacino Taras Riddick and Count Stovall.
