AUDIENCE REWARDS® launched the ARXP Signature Series with a one-night only presentation of American artist Charles Fazzino and his entire 21-piece collection of Broadway themed 3-D originals that include Broadway II (1987) to his most recent issue, Broadway's Got Heart (2008). This exclusive member event was held Tuesday, April 8, in the Grand Lobby of the Minskoff Theatre, 200 West 45th Street, from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm.
Â
"Broadway has always been a vibrant source of inspiration for me," says Fazzino. "Nothing compares with its colors, its energy and its history. If you look at how the face of Broadway has changed over the last quarter century, you can see how the entire city has changed and evolved. Broadway tells a compelling story and so does my artwork."
"No other artist has featured Broadway so consistently or lovingly in their work," says Rebecca Velazquez, Member Benefits Director for Audience Rewards, the national loyalty program for the performing arts. "Audience Rewards is created for people who love the theatre. Charles' work stands as a celebration of the shows and stars who have graced the New York stage. We are very pleased to turn our spotlight on Charles and enable our members to meet this unique and talented artist."
Â
To support the launch of Audience Rewards, Charles Fazzino has created a limited edition Broadway window card and framed "mini" exclusively for the program. "Working with Audience Rewards is a great opportunity for me to play a role in the theatre community. I designed a special piece for Audience Reward members that embodies my love of the artform and hopefully reminds the members of their favorite Broadway experience."
