Beth Behrs, the star of CBS's 2 BROKE GIRLS, leads the cast of the world premiere of Halley Feiffer's comedy A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Gynecologic Oncology Unit at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center of New York City at MCC Theater. Behrs is joined by Obie winner Lisa Emery, most recently seen on the hit Netflix drama JESSICA JONES, as well as stage veteran Jacqueline Sydney and Erik Lochtefeld. Obie winner Trip Cullman directs the production, which just opened last night of June 7. BroadwayWorld brings you photos from the big night below!
The design team for A Funny Thing Happened... includes sets by Lauren Helpern, costumes by Kaye Voyce, lighting by Matthews Richards, and sound by Tony winner Darron L West.
In A Funny Thing Happened..., a foul-mouthed twenty-something comedian and a middle-aged man embroiled in a nasty divorce are brought together unexpectedly when their cancer-stricken mothers become roommates in the hospital. Together, this unlikely duo must negotiate some of life's biggest challenges... while making some of the world's most inappropriate jokes. Can these two very lost people learn to laugh through their pain and lean on each other when all they really want to do is run away?
