A benefit for London's Old Vic Theatre was held at Planet Hollywood in Times Square on April 19, 2007 in New York City.
In attendance at the event were Mary Stuart Masterson, Gabriel Byrne, Eve Best, Colm Meaney and Old Vic Artistic Director Kevin Spacey. The latter three currently star on Broadway in A Moon for the Misbegotten, the Eugene O'Neill classic that originated as an Old Vic hit.
According to the company's website, the Old Vic's "iconic building has a rich history of great productions from Olivier's Hamlet to Ian McKellen's Widow Twankey. And under the artistic leadership of Kevin Spacey, we continue to attract the best creative talent." The Old Vic is currently presenting John Osborne's The Entertainer, starring Robert Lindsay.
