Disney's BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, the sixth longest running show of all time and Broadway's current longest running American musical, celebrated its 11th anniversary on Saturday, April 16th. The production originally opened on April 18th, 1994.

The show opened at the Palace Theatre, where it played more than 2,250 performances, becoming the longest-running show ever to play the legendary theatre. BEAUTY AND THE BEAST is also the longest running tenant in the history of the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre (205 West 46th Street), where it is now playing. On Friday, April 8th, BEAUTY AND THE BEAST also hit its 4,500th performance.
