This week, off-Broadway's The Play Company brought together some of NYC's top chefs and theater artists for its seventh annual gala Cabaret Gourmet 2010, a unique evening hosted by Bryan Batt, the beloved Broadway performer and star of the hit television series "Mad Men." The evening featured a performance by Tony-nominee Barbara Walsh and savory and sweet dishes prepared by chefs from several of the city's most celebrated restaurants.
Cabaret Gourmet 2010 offered theatergoers and gourmet-food aficionados alike the opportunity to mingle in a cabaret setting and taste epicurean dishes prepared by well-known chefs from around the city. Participating chefs include Chef George Mendes of Aldea, Chef David DeCarlo of Angus McIndoe, Chef Jehangir Mehta of Graffiti, Chef Nancy Olson of Gramercy Tavern, Chef Mikey Price of Market Table, Chef Josh Eden of Shorty's 32, Steve Liebowitz, owner of Guss Pickles, and Thiru "Dosa Man" Kumar, NY Dosas (recipient of the 2007 Vendy Award). Coffee is provided by La Colombe Torrefaction.
The Cabaret Gourmet 2010 evening also includes a silent auction offering tickets to Broadway, exclusive dining and spa packages, jewelry and more.
