Broadway and MTV star Bailey Hanks joined Pat Goodwin of Telsey + Co Casting (the casting directors of Legally Blonde) for a one day Master Class at The Broadway Workshop that gave students the opportunity to work on every area of musical theater performance.
The workshop focused on giving young actors the tools necessary to help them stand out from the crowd and take their audition and performance skills to the next level.
Hanks most recently appeared on stage as ‘Sharpay' in Paper Mill's production of Disney's High School Musical.
Bailey will also star on two episodes of the hit CBS soap opera, Guiding Light. Hanks will appear as Amy, the Governor's daugher on episodes scheduled to shoot next week and air April 8-9, 2009.
Bailey Hanks is the winner of the MTV reality series ‘Legally Blonde The Musical: The Search for Elle Woods'. Ms. Hanks succeeded Tony® Award Nominee Laura Bell Bundy in the role of ‘Elle Woods' on Broadway in July. Ms. Hanks' theatre credits include: Seussical, Gypsy, Hello Dolly!, The Music Man, A Funny Thing Happened On the Way to the Forum, and Annie.
In 2000 she sang the national anthem for President Bill Clinton. The South Carolina native and former Miss Liberty Teen 2005 studied musical theatre at Coastal Carolina University.
