After eight critically acclaimed months at Feinstein's, performing every Thursday night at 11 PM to delighted crowds of late night musical theater fans, Scott Siegel's Broadway Ballyhoo will take the stage for one week only during prime time with five entirely different 8 PM shows through Saturday, July 21.
Scott, who has produced more than 100 major concerts in New York at venues like Town Hall and Jazz at Lincoln Center, has assembled a stunning cast of stellar performers, promising a different great cast, singing different show tunes, every single night of the Ballyhoo Festival. Among the stellar performers that will be on hand to entertain are: Drama Desk Nominee Kevin Earley (Death Takes a Holiday), William Michals (Emile de Becque in Lincoln Center's production of South Pacific), Karen Mason (Sunset Blvd. and the upcoming Rebecca), Ben Davis (Tony Honoree, Baz Luhrman's La Boheme), Howard Fishman (acclaimed concert artist and recording star), Jessica Burrows (Lara in La Jolla Playhouse production of Dr. Zhivago), Jarrod Spector (Frankie Valli in Jersey Boys on Broadway), among many other great talents.
Said the show's creator and host, Scott Siegel, "Every night from July 17 to 21 will be both an opening and closing night. This is an unprecedented move from our late night perch once a week to a run of five days in a row -- and that includes ramping up a brand new musical revue with great stars and great songs every single night. Most importantly, though, I'm delighted to have the chance to offer audiences at 8 PM the same kind of fun, casual, yet musically exhilarating shows that we've been giving audiences at 11 PM for the last 8 months. When this week is over, we'll return to our open-ended run of Thursday's at 11 PM, but we hope we'll create some converts to late night show tunes!"
