The Innocence Project at the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, founded in 1992 by Barry C. Scheck and Peter J. Neufeld, was created to assist prisoners who could be proven innocent through DNA testing. The fund raiser was held at Tony's Dinapoli Restaurant in Times Square with stellar performance's by Michelle Branch and Al Franken. Michelle captivated the audience with an intimate soulful set and was followed by the hilariously insightful comedy of Al Franken in the New Broadway Cabaret Space.
