Ali MacGraw and Ryan O'Neal will star in an upcoming national tour of LOVE LETTERS, celebrated playwright A.R. Gurney's enduring romance about first loves and second chances. Following a critically-acclaimed Broadway run, the national tour of Gregory Mosher's production will launch in Summer 2015, visiting Los Angeles, Detroit, Boston, Dallas, Baltimore and others to be announced. Full list of cities, dates and ticket on-sale information will be announced at a later time.
LOVE LETTERS is the story of Andrew Makepeace Ladd III (O'Neal) and Melissa Gardner (MacGraw), two young people from similar backgrounds who take very different paths in life. Despite leading lives which should not intersect, they can't let go of each other throughout their 50 year friendship, and marriages and families with other people.
LOVE LETTERS was originally produced on Broadway by Nelle Nugent, Barbara Broccoli, Frederick Zollo, Olympus Theatrical, Michael G. Wilson, Lou Spisto, Colleen Camp, Postmark Entertainment Group, Judith Ann Abrams/Pat Flicker Addis, Kenneth Teaton in association with Jon Bierman, Tim Degraye, Daniel Frishwasser, Elliott Masie, Mai Nguyen, Scott Lane/Joseph Sirola.
Gregory Mosher (Director) is the former director of Lincoln Center Theater and artistic director of the Goodman Theatre, and the producer or director of nearly 200 plays at those theatres, on Broadway and in London's West End.
