Tony Award-winning actor and LGBT advocate Alan Cumming hosted Live Out Loud's Ninth Annual Young Trailblazers Benefit Gala on Monday, April 26th. More than 500 community leaders attended the event, which will took place at the Chelsea Art Museum. The annual event culminated with the awarding of $2500 scholarships to four high school seniors who have demonstrated outstanding leadership skills. A longtime supporter of Live Out Loud, Cumming appeared in a PSA produced by Showtime announcing the launch of Live Out Loud's Homecoming Project, a program which brings LGBT leaders back to their high schools to talk to today's students. Cumming is currently starring as Eli Gold in CBS's "The Good Wife" and will be playing the role of the Green Goblin in Broadway's "Spiderman: Turn Off The Dark" later this year.

Pierre Durand, President of Adair Capital, Ariel Foxman, Editor of Instyle Magazine and Ralph Rucci of Chado Ralph Rucci were the Chairs for this year's Gala. The Honorary hosts included Vogue editor-at-large Andre Leon Talley, Lee Radziwill, Angel Sanchez, Clodagh, Daryl Roth, and Michael Musto.

Chelsea Schade, a senior at Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School, created the school's first Gay Straight Alliance which has tackled issues ranging from acceptance to bringing awareness to the HIV and AIDS community, and even conducting climate surveys for the school community. She also works with the school's health department to update protocol for suicide prevention and is a long time member of the Girl Scouts which has instilled a strong commitment to community service. Chelsea will be attending Rider University where she will be admitted into the Bonner Scholars Program. She plans to pursue a career in teaching where she also hopes to help LGBT youth.
