The revival of A Chorus Line, the Pulitzer Prize-winning classic musical, opened at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre (236 W. 45th St.) on Thursday, October 5 after beginning previews on Monday, September 18. Among the starry opening night arrivals were original cast members Donna McKechnie, Priscilla Lopez, Kelly Bishop, Robert LuPone, Wayne Cilento, Pamela Blair, and more.
Directed by its original Tony Award winning co-choreographer Bob Avian, A Chorus Line was conceived and originally choreographed and directed by Michael Bennett, and features a book by James Kirkwood and Nicholas Dante, music by Marvin Hamlisch and lyrics by Edward Kleban. Baayork Lee re-stages the original choreography.
