Peters Featured on Broadway's Best 77 for Week of Sept. 5

Sirius Satellite Radio has lined up nonstop Broadway programming for the week of September 5th on its Broadway's Best 77 station, which is "coast-to-coast and commerical-free."

The career of two-time Tony Award-winner Bernadette Peters, which has spanned over 4 decades and such shows as Dames at Sea, Mack and Mabel, Song and Dance, Sunday in the Park with George, Into the Woods, Annie Get Your Gun and Gypsy, will be celebrated this week. On Friday, September 9th, the star will join Seth Rudetsky's Studio A Cabaret at 9pm ET & PT (rebroadcast: Sunday, September 11th at 10pm). On Saturday, September 10th, her new album Sondheim, Etc., Etc. will be featured on Saturday Sondheim, which is hosted by Doctor Michael Bourne. Also, fans can register to win a free copy of the CD on the show, which airs from 4 PM to 8 PM. Then on Sunday, September 11th, selections from her album Loves Rodgers and Hammerstein will be played on Rodgers Rules: The Music of Richard Rodgers, which airs from 10 AM to 4 PM every Sunday; it is also hosted by Bourne. 

On weekdays, "Broadway's Best On-Air Hosts" broadcast "the greatest showtunes and film soundtracks from yesterday and today." From 7 AM to 1 PM, Christine Pedi ("The Woman of a Thousand Voices" best known from Forbidden Broadway) is featured before Jason Drew, the Broadway Baby, from 1 PM to 5 PM. Theatre historian and journalist Bourne has air time from 5 PM to 7 PM, and Seth Rudetsky, "the Ahmaazing One" is the host with the most from 7 PM to 1 AM.

In addition to Saturday Sondheim and Rodgers Rules, Dueling Divas Pedi and Rudetsky "team up for six hours of Broadway chatter, unvarnished opinion, celebrity guests and your phone calls (1-877-33-SIRIUS)" from 10 AM to 4 PM every Saturday.
