On Thursday, July 24th 2008 Peter Gallagher came to see the new Broadway musical (about making a musical) [title of show]. After curtain, Broadway World's Peter James Zielinski captured him visiting and congratulating the cast. 


Gallagher has delivered critically acclaimed performances in film, television and theater. In his career, Gallagher has starred in over 50 films, including sex, lies and videotape, The Player (Golden Globe Award), Short Cuts, American Beauty (SAG Award), The Idolmaker, While You Were Sleeping, The Underneath, To Gillian on her 37th Birthday, Center Stage, Dreamchild and Mr. Deeds.

His theater credits include award-winning Broadway productions of Guys and Dolls, Long Day's Journey Into Night (Tony Award nomination), The Real Thing (Charles Derwent Award) and Noises Off.  He has worked with some of film and theater's most respected directors including Robert Altman, Steven Soderbergh, Sam Mendes, Nicholas Hytner, Mike Nichols, Jonathan Miller and the Coen Brothers.  On television, he is best known for his role as SAndy Cohen in the Fox hit "The OC." He also starred in "The Murder of Mary Phagan,"  "The Caine Mutiny Court Martial," "Guys and Dolls: Off the Record," "Brave New World" and "Path to Paradise."

[title of show] held its official Broadway Opening on July 17th, 2008.

[title of show] is written by Jeff Bowen and Hunter Bell. Michael Berresse directs.  The cast stars Hunter Bell, Susan Blackwell,Heidi Blickenstaff and Jeff Bowen. Larry Pressgrove is musical director.

[title of show] takes a thoroughly unique and comical look at the pleasures and perils of the artistic process as two struggling writers and two struggling actresses take on the seemingly impossible task of creating a new musical about creating a new musical. Now with Broadway as their destination, the quartet's saga continues anew as they face mounting pressures and deadlines, and are nearly thrown off-track by disagreements, day jobs and insecurities in this funny and unforgettable look at the birth of a musical as it finally comes to life on the Great White Way.

[title of show] will perform Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at 8:00pm; Saturdays at 3:00pm &8:00pm; and Sundays at 3:00pm &7:00pm (Wednesdays are dark) at the Lyceum Theatre (149 West 45th Street) on Broadway.
