The celebratory 15th season of Pen Parentis Literary Salons continues with ASPECTS OF LOVE: featuring internationally bestselling romance novelist Jennifer Probst, the edgy literary novelist Marcy Dermansky, and the inimitable John Reed, whose poems, fiction and essays blend into such uncategorizable forms, two of his books have been called "stunts."

Tuesday, March 14th at 7pm, these three authors who write intensely and in very different ways about love will present readings of new works followed by a panel discussion moderated by Columbia University alumnae Christina Chiu and M. M. De Voe.

In addition to being incredibly diverse and talented writers, Pen Parentis' featured authors are all also parents - expect intimate discussion of real-world truths, and how they could affect future generations. The Salons intend to break the stereotype of parent-writer by presenting the enormity of creative writing by authors who happen to also be parents. Since January of 2009, they have presented more than 275 writers to the general public. Their annual writing fellowship is currently open to applications from writers who have at least one child under 10 years of age, and their Book Club is accepting new members from the general public. More information on these and all Pen Parentis projects on www.penparentis.org.

The night begins with networking over wine, compliments of Andaz Wall Street. Readings will be followed by Q&A moderated by Pen Parentis founder M. M. De Voe and Salons curator Christina Chiu. The event ends with mingling and book signings. Come join the festivities! The night kicks off at 7:00 pm, and admission is free. Books will be vended for signings. Pen Parentis Literary Salons are a great place to meet book-loving neighbors as well as industry notables.

The event takes place at Andaz Wall Street (enter through hotel lobby) - 75 Wall Street at Water on March 14th 7pm-9:30pm. Adults only. RSVP through www.penparentis.org/calendar. Admission is Free. RSVP recommended.

PEN PARENTIS, Ltd is a 501c3 literary nonprofit that provides resources to help writers stay on creative track after starting a family. The Literary Salons are a free program that is open to everyone 21+ (you don't have to be a parent or even a writer to enjoy our events!) They are partially funded by a Creative Engagement Grant with funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs and the New York State Council of the Arts, administered by the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council.

Transportation info: Take the 2/3/4/5/J/M to Wall Street. Salons take place in a private room in the glamorous Andaz Hotel, at 75 Wall Street.
