Tony Award-winner Michele Pawk, John Dossett and Brian D'Arcy James will be among the performers holding an "Alternative Torch" on May 22nd at Symphony Space's Leonard Nimoy Thalia Theatre (2537 Broadway at 95th Street).

Ring of Fire, The Civil War) and
Becca Ayers (
Avenue Q) will take part in the concert, which will fe
ature Broadway stars performing ballads by four singer/songwriters from the pop/rock world: Matthew Friedman, Rosemary Loar,
Sean McCourt and Catherine Porter.
Hosted by Loar (who created the series), the evening will include back-up singers Alicia Irving and Daniel and Evan Friedman, as well as a band comprised of Jim Abbott (on keyboards), Gary Seligson (drums), Leo Huppert (bass)
and Roger Butterly (guitar), with Emily Mikesell to serve as guest violinist.
The last "Alternative Torch" concert, held on March 3rd, featured
Greg Reuter, Karmine Alers, Saycon Sengbloh, Robb Sapp, Julie Reiber, Ric Ryder and Donna Vivino performing the songs of Ben Cohn and Sean McDaniel, Danan Healy, Loar, and Dave Sasscer.
