Film and theatre stars Annette Bening and Alfred Molina will be joined by Sarah Paulson and Jason Butler Harner in the upcoming Los Angeles production of Chekhov's The Cherry Orchard, which will run at Center Theatre Group's Mark Taper Forum (135 North Grand Ave.) from February 2nd through March 29th, 2006.

Directed by Sean Mathias (The Elephant Man), the star-studded staging will feature Bening as Madame Ranevskaya,
"the head of a once wealthy and honored Russian family about to lose their ancestral estate, including a vast and beautiful cherry orchard. As spring gives way to summer and sentiment threatens reason, the family must find their footing in a Russia turned upside down. On the brink of losing the beloved orchard, time is a luxury they no longer can afford," according to press notes. The play will also star Molina as Lopakhin, Paulson as Varya and Butler Harner as Trofimov.

Paulson, who most recently appeared in MCC's Colder Than Here, played the fragile Laura in the revival of The Glass Menagerie. She has been seen in Killer Joe and Talking Pictures off-Broadway, and her film credits include Down With Love, What Women Want and The Other Sister. She has appeared on such TV series as "Jack & Jill," "Leap of Faith," and most recently, "Deadwood."

Harner's New York credits include The Ruby Sunrise, The Paris Letter, Crimes of the Heart, Juo and the Paycock, Mr. Fox: A Rumination, Crimes of the Heart, Juno and the Paycock, Henry VIII and Macbeth. His film and TV credits include the upcoming The Good Shepherd, Nylon, "Hope and Faith" and "Law and Order."

The Mark Taper Forum is currently hosting a production of Robert Schenkkan's Lewis and Clark Reach the Euphrates; the show runs through January 22nd, 2006.
