A dynamite diva re-releases a seminal recording!
Two-time Tony Award-winning Broadway superstar Patti LuPone re-releases her acclaimed and celebrated 1998 album MATTERS OF THE HEART today, September 18, on Broadway Records. This is the studio album of the show she performed with the same title at Lincoln Center, directed by Scott Wittman.
The official description of MATTERS OF THE HEART is as follows: "Matters of the Heart is a studio recording of Broadway legend Patti LuPone's acclaimed cabaret show, one of her two solo Broadway concerts. It originated on Broadway at the Vivian Beaumont Theater in 2000, and LuPone continued to perform this concert by taking it on tour. As the title suggests, this album explores the complicated yet beautiful themes of love and relationships. This album covers a lot of musical ground with songs from brilliant composers including Rodgers and Hammerstein, Stephen Sondheim, Frank Wildhorn, Randy Newman, Stephen Flaherty and more. Originally released in 1999, this is a reissue with all new packaging and photos."
