Broadway vet Patti Lupone is among the all-star cast set for the highly-anticipated third season of FX's AMERICAN HORROR STORY: COVEN. According to Latinospot.com Lupone has revealed that she will portray a character who is the "personification of the religious right, much like Piper Laurie in 'Carrie.'"
Series creator Ryan Murphy recently shared several details about the next installment in the series, including that it would be filmed, at least in part, in New Orleans. In addition to Lupone, the season will feature Emma Roberts, Angela Bassett, Gabourey Sidibe and Kathy Bates.
The upcoming season will also feature witches, as well as multiple locales. "It's about a lot of things," Murphy said. "It's a really cool story that we've been talking about for a couple of years actually, and this seemed the year to do it."
